Chage of Plans

     Thank you for your interest in our ministry and your faithfulness in praying. I know many of you are praying for us as we make this trip. Yesterday, Cheyenne and Roberto brought a large tarp to cover the patio are of the house and we spent all day on ladders and the roof fixing it so it won't rain in on our dryer and other equipment. Last night my arthritis was acting up so much I knew we could not leave early today. SO, we are planning an early leave tomorrow (Wednesday) with the possibility of going straight through. Sunday are all of the local elections and the government is expecting the drug lords to interfere, stop or make difficult any voting, especially in the border areas. We definitely want to be out of Mexico before the weekend.
     Even the less dangerous route we have chosen involves going through two check points where the gangs have this week attacked the Army & Navy who are stationed at these checkpoints. We KNOW He is faithful and certainly knows how to protect us, but it is a little unnerving. We would appreciate your continued prayers. Hopefully, we will be able to update you as soon as we cross the border. May God bless you.

Dear Praying Friends,      We are so thankful to be able to be home for furlough this year and have been in over twelve church meetings since arriving. It is so good to see how God brought His churches through the tough times of the pandemic and is slowly rebuilding those ministries as well as ours. Our God is always faithful.      Casey, Ann’s mother, is doing well with good days and days less joyful. She completed pin-point radiation and will have to wait a total of three months to see how effective it was towards the tumor. She had hesitated in going ahead with the treatment, but decided she should try to see if that would at least slow down the growth. She able to take care of her personal needs, but does need help with any extra care and at times is less stable on her

Dear Praying Friends,      You have been praying, haven't you? FIRST, Ann's bogus account was fixed, so there should be no more problems there. I don't do Facebook, but Cheyenne took care of it for us.      Yesterday was the test day for the whole church. Armando returned from Monterrey on Friday, so I scheduled a meeting with him on Saturday. The results of that will be explained in a minute.      Yesterday was also the day that our ex-deacon was to return with all the deaf he "won to Christ." It turned out that they had led 1 deaf person to the Lord. All of the rest (30-35) were people they took out of our deaf church.      Armando preached the regular service and ended the service without saying anything about his status. After the service was over, he asked if he could talk to the members. Amazingly, all non-members moved outside without a murmur.
