As I mentioned last week, we had AT LEAST 120 in attendance in at our Valentine's Day services. Of those, four asked Christ to be their Savior following the services. One of them was Alicia, a married lady who first came to our deaf church when she was 16 years of age. We have witnessed to her MANY times, but she never really responded. Now, at about forty years of age, she, her husband and best friend all came to know Christ last week. Sometimes, the Lord is so patient with us in preparing our hearts to receive His word!        The other person will remain anonymous, but has attended several times recently. He is married to one of our young ladies who also began attending several years ago. They have had a very difficult marriage with the young lady often coming, begging for counseling and prayer. It seems that their relationship has been one of a cat and dog in the same house. It often came to physical blows. She is a smaller lady and is partially crippled so it was alway

Saturday

The doctor released Ann today from the hospital. She had done exceptionally well with the exception of a new medicine last night. It seemed that it slowed her down some. However, considering the serious reaction she had Thursday, she is doing well. After CAT scan, tests, two days in the hospital, etc. they decided it was probably caused by ?? The combination of anemia, low potassium and the abscess may have worked together to cause the shut-down she suffered. SUNDAY     Casey and I just returned from deaf church where there were between 110-120 deaf present. The day was planned full of activities but we begged their pardon to be able to return home early to check on Ann. I expect that several of the new deaf will trust Christ as Savior today. Armando preached an excellent message on the Love of God today and presented the Gospel several times.      However, Armando's dad is worse, so it may mean he will have to leave again to take care of his father. Please pray for the fa

Friday afternoon

Surely you have heard the expression from Morton salt, "when it rains, it pours." On Wednesday Ann had noticed a soreness near the area where she was going to schedule a removal of tooth root from a damaged tooth. Yesterday she awakened to a puffy jaw and pain. We made contact with our dentist who told us to get her started her antibiotics immediately. She took  her meds at 2:30 PM and returned to bed to try to shake off the pain. When she came back down stairs in the evening, her jaw was doubled sized, she was running a fever and was in pain. We contacted the dentist again who recommended we get her to her office immediately, even though she had closed.      We started to prepare Ann to drive to the office, when Ann lost her sight and became extremely dizzy. Cheyenne ran and got her yogurt and later a little Coke to raise her blood sugar. A few moments later, she motioned that she was going to lose what she just drank. After vomiting, she wanted to clean her mouth. She

We thank you again for prayers for my brother Mike. He is home (since last week) and is doing well in his recuperation. His kidneys are back to functioning "normally" but the medicines have caused the pressure in his eye to greatly increase. He is feeling that it will probably mean that the pressure valve will have to be inserted into his good eye. That is of major concern because any treatment with the eye usually causes more problems. Most of the other levels have returned to where they should be.      Thank you for your faithfulness in praying, but please do continue to pray for Mike and Carol. It is a long journey and there will undoubtedly be more trials, but for now, we are praising the Lord " for his wonderful works to the children of men !" Psalm 107.

Tuesday

Dear Praying Friends,      I talked with Carol last night and with Mike this morning. He was scheduled to be released on Monday to return home, but his urologist was tied up at another hospital and was unable to see him until yesterday. He had already been released by his other doctors, so all that was needed was his release. They spent yesterday finalizing the diet, medications and further treatment that he would need at home. Yesterday evening, he was finally released and was allowed to return home.      The kidneys are working even though not at optimum. Mike sounded good this morning and was happy the ordeal was finally over. Being a diabetic, Mike realizes that this battle is not a permanent solution to his problems but rather a victory in a long road of battles. He thanks all of those who have been praying for them and asks your continued prayers.      Thank you for taking time to pray for someone you perhaps have never met. God is still alive and well and hears our prayers.
