God's Blessings

Praying Friends,
God gave great blessings yesterday in a little different service. Several months ago we noticed that the roof over our baptistry made of glass blocks had started to crumble due to the tropical sun. Relatively large chucks periodically fall directly into the pool. We have had several deaf that were waiting to be baptized until we could repair (replace) the roof. One of our ladies again offered the use of her sister's country retreat equipped with a small pool. The church decided to have our service at the retreat and baptize while we were there.
The pool was filled a little more than half way. All the deaf assembled a little late after one car got lost trying to get there. Fernando preached a message and we all moved to the pool. One of our deaf who desired to be baptized was not able to come due to the untimely hospitalization of his grandmother on Sunday. Fernando was baptizing for the first time and was clearly nervous. He baptized one of our ladies who had trusted Christ about a year ago. Her mother-in-law called us later in the day to thank us for such a wonderful blessing. The other one in the photos is Lance, our grandson. What a tremendous blessing to be able to baptize my grandson!

After the services, the Lord led for me to talk to two young pre-teens about their salvation. With Bible in hand and a soft approach, both, at different times, asked the Lord to save them. Two families went home with the joy that their sons had trusted Christ as their Savior. All of the deaf were so excited: two baptized and two saved in a country retreat!
So, along with the trials and sometime dangers, God gives great blessings, sometimes in abundance! Praise the Lord for His faithfulness!

P.S. Fernando is not Pentecostal. Since the deaf cannot hear applause, the move their hands so others can see, their form of applause.
