Heaven Is Sounding Sweeter

lillie2     About six years ago, we received  a special prayer request for the newest member of the family (the daughter of Ann's cousin) who was born with congenital heart disease. "Miss Lillie" immediately stole the heart of our deaf folks in Guadalajara and they began faithfully to pray for her. Several months later after surgery we rejoiced with her family as she did very well. Through the following six years and most recently, her third surgery, the family rejoiced that she was doing very well leading a typical life of a six year old.
We saw Lillie's grandfather at the Christmas party, and he was so happy that they had been told she probably would not need additional surgery until she was at least a teenager. She was doing fine and had returned to a "normal"life. She loved life and made a great impression on all who knew her.
January 5, she was playing at a nearby restaurant when she suddenly collapsed and the medical personnel were not able to revive her. Lillian Ruth Edwards passed into Glory so suddenly that all are left in shock. Please pray for her family in their great loss.

January 15th, Thursday, Ann's aunt, Kate Johnson. went to be with her Lord and Savior. She had fighting weakness and infections since around Christmas. She was ready to go home (95 years old). When I first came into the family, I quickly learned that Kate and Johnny had been faithful Christians for years and had been fundamental in bringing many to the Lord. Probably anyone who knew Kate would describe her as the model of a Christian lady. Although the family rejoices in her heavenly homegoing, they still feel the loss of one very dear to their heart. Please pray for the family at this time. Her funeral will be tomorrow, Sunday.
