3 O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together.
Psalm 34:3

Dear Praying Friends,
God, as always, has been blessing His Word. Fernando has been doing a good job of declaring the truth faithfully and it is having effect in people’s lives. We are seeing several of the deaf make their way back as they see the church is carrying on in the work of the Lord. It has been slow during the holidays but we praise the Lord for 38 for our Valentine’s Day. One deaf man who got saved last year is becoming faithful after being a strong opponent in the beginning. It is wonderful to watch the Lord work and allow us to be a part of it.
We made a border trip and returned on the 7th of February. On the 8th the headlines in the US news was a massive bust of meth here. They reported it as being near Guadalajara. When I read another report it stated a town nearby. When I read the account in our local paper, it was within a little more than a mile from our house. Why was it so important as to make your newspapers? It was equal to all of the meth confiscated worldwide in 2009!! Today’s highlight was the capture in the next village of a large group of folks from several states who were here to setup blackmail rings for the businesses. Is it here? Absolutely. We do trust in the Lord and so far have perfect peace.
We don’t want to share ALL bad news, but Gary had a scare last week. The temperature inside the house was less than 60o. He had exercised and was starting his shower when a strong pain gripped his chest. He was waiting for the big blow, but nothing more took place. He took some precautionary measures and decided it was NOT his heart but was still puzzled. He went to the cardiologist who announced there was nothing with his heart and that the EKG appeared perfect. He suggested that it was caused by the extreme change in temperatures in a short period of time and probably actually originated in his lungs. After a thorough check of his lungs, he declared there was no damage except for a few scary moments. He did place him on an additional medication to bring his blood pressure down farther to a better number and to lower his pulse, which it is doing.
Ann has been doing well even with the traveling and we are looking forward to visiting with other works here. Travel has been tightly reigned in through all of this trouble, but we are hoping to visit some of the deaf works in other parts of the country. They are suffering.
Please pray as these conditions have caused some works to reduce or stop services. Some of our pastors and friends go through scary experiences almost daily. We ask that you would pray with us for them. They have no place to go to escape the violence. They live with it daily. Pray that God would open opportunities for all of us to be able to reach the deaf, now more than ever. Deaf Christians have been killed, although not here. Please pray for our brethren in this time of tribulation.
We thank you for standing with us and allowing us to represent you here. It is your faithfulness that God uses to keep us “keeping on.” Thank you for giving, praying and expressing your love and interest in the work of the Lord.

For DEAF souls in Mexico,
