God has done it again and given us a tremendous day in the Lord! We celebrated Father's Day yesterday at church since many of the families go to their parents' house for the actual day. There were at least 75 present to celebrate with us. Several were new ones and several were second or third time visitors. Again, Armando preached a good message followed by a wonderful drama of the prodigal son. The costumes were of top quality and the amazing thing was that most of the deaf memorized their lines - a giant step for them. It is exactly the same as memorizing long passages in a foreign language. for them. As with the American Sign Language, sign are NOT the spoken language on the hands, but rather a separate, recognized language. Therefore, memorization from spoken Spanish is foreign to them. Each time you think to pray for them, remember that the Bible is also in a different language for them. How faithful would you be to read the Bible daily in a foreign language?
The church continues to grow and the Lord is using Armando to reach many deaf who have been unreachable to us. Praise the Lord He gives the increase! Since we do not know all of the intricacies of your church, ours sems very special. We mentioned before how the Lord allowed us to minister to an older fellow who had AIDS. How would you react if someone came, got saved and became a faithful member of the church, only to learn later that he was infected. It should not change our love for them, only our sanitation. One of our members now was a homosexual two years ago, Today, you could never guess which one. God has turned his life inside out and he remains one of the sincerest and most faithful of our members. God's Word speaks of much sin, much love (Luke 7:42-43). Praise the Lord through Him we get the privilege to love sinners (just like us).

SWINE FLU?
Yes, there has been a number of cases here, but it seems that after the authorities realized the potential for death, they reacted quickly. Most school's were closed for several days, thoroughly cleaned from top to bottom and a new system of vigilance put in place. Every school has a health provider on call. Any child who comes to school must answer five questions daily: have you had a fever? do you have a cough? have you had a runny nose? has anyone in your family been sick? have you had a headache? A positive answer to any one of these sends the student or teacher to the health officials. Immediately they are tested and treatment started if a test show positive. By the way, the county we stay in in Texas had 169 cases while we were there. Some still use the masks, but most of the public has gone back to life as normal.

CAMP
Camp is just around the corner and we have elected to return to Mante this year. It is about 11 hours for us to travel, but the grounds are the home of the Bible Baptist Fellowship institute, so they have all the equipment and cooking staff we need already there. They are great hosts and make the trip worth while for us. Pray for safety on the roads and for souls to be saved.

TEPIC
We will very soon be making another trip to Tepic to make preparations to move there. We delayed previously because we will be one of very few Americans in Tepic. We did not want to rent a house, fill it with furniture and then leave for Alabama and our BIMI field conference. We are excited at the prospects of starting a work there and seeing the deaf come to understand the Gospel.

Thank you for your faithful prayers on our behalf and your support financially so that we can remain. May God bless you.
