HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!
A funny thing happened on the way to the forum -- well, almost. We didn't go to prayer meeting on Thursday as it seems we got waylaid in the process. It seems that a young lady from Sonora did not know how to get around in Guadalajara and from the center lane attempted to turn left. The only problem was that Ann, Lance and I were in that lane. She did not turn in front of us, she turned into the side of the truck. Thankfully, no one was injured and the only damage was to the vehicles. After she asked MY insurance man to commit fraud and cover her car because she had no insurance, she called her boss here in town. After 5 hours of haggling between her boss and my insurance agent, an agreement was established and we headed home after 9:30 PM! We flagged four different transito (traffic police) and all refused to stop. The final result is that we will probably have to go to the border to find the repair parts.

Tomorrow is our big party at the church and we are anxiously waiting to see who will show up. The man who was so against us has said that we will come tomorrow again. We trust the Lord for souls to be saved.

Please pray for a man who is 103 years old and because of his age, he is totally deaf. Ed O'Brien called asking for advice as to how to try to reach him. Because he has lived in a village all of his life, he doesn't know how to read or write. Therefore, the normal means of writing are not possible/ Pray that Ed will be able to reach him with the Gospel as his wife just trusted Christ last night at age 96.

The Lord has led us to two different sources of wisdom about Tepic. We are praying for guidance and were trying to find statistics about the deaf community there. According to world statistics, Tepic should have between 3-4,000 deaf in the area. Ann made contact with a deaf leader here today that stated that the deaf community is relatively large and active in Tepic. Praise the Lord. Pray that He will continue to lead us (as we know He will) to His perfect work and for His glory.

Do check back after tomorrow as we may well have excellent news about the special day tomorrow. Thank you so much for praying.
