Happy New Year to all.

These photos are the most recent we have which were taken on Christmas day. Our family has grown to the point that it is hard to find a place to assemble all of us together at one time, so we were able to rent a party place cheap. The first price was terrible until we explained to them that we did not want it on Christmas eve (all Mexican families get together on Christmas Eve for the big family gathering), but rather for the afternoon of Christmas Day. They dropped the price to 1/3 of the original price, since no one would otherwise rent it. It turned out to be a play ground and kitchen together, the size of 2 regular lots. Very nice!

These are our grandchildren from top to bottom, left to right: Cynthia (Faithann), Lance (Cheyenne), Bryan (Faithann), Alex (Faithann), Johnny (Jonathan) and William (Jonathan). Poor little Cynthia was so sick she could barely hold her head up. The newspaper said the other day that 45% of the population in Guadalajara is suffering with respiratory problems. Christmas Day was over the unsafe air limit by 53%. Today is better but still not good.

The church is doing well as several returned from holiday vacations. There seems to be a very good attitude concerning the Word of God and not just letting it flow in and out the same ear. By the way, the deaf do talk about letting things go in one ear and out the other.

We are planning a survey trip to Tepic in a few days to see the options available to us as to beginning a new work there. If you are interested in looking it up, it is west of Guadalajara and closer to the Pacific Ocean. It is still in the mountains at about 3,500 feet. It will definitely be warmer temperature-wise, but we are looking forward to new opportunities. Search for Tepic, Nayarit.

Please check back with this blog as we will not always send a reminder email, as we have had trouble getting the emails out. We will try to keep it updated until we can get better, more permanent communications. God bless you.
